    How'd Scholar Change?

This isn't a loaded question for once. I had my fun getting War and 'Goon to 60. War was nothing but fun, 'Goon is even more complex now and taxes my feeble mind despite it doing absolute dumptrucks of damage, but I've been hesitant to level Scholar yet. I've heard a lot of this-and-that going around about stuff changing for the job, but I can't seem to get anything concrete. What should I expect to have changed, and how should I adapt to it? Is it much different than it was? Is Eos any harder to manage? Appreciate any feedback.

The only big change is the way lustrate works. It used to heal 25% of max hp and was changed to a 650 potency.

So now you cant heal with lustrate in cleric. Although now lustrate can crit and will scale with gear.

Fey wind has changed to 3% attack speed increase.

Aside from the above-stated changes, the job's about the same. It had several new tools added:

-Indomitability: A 400 potency AoE heal that costs an Aetherflow stacks with a short cooldown (30s). Highly effective for handling party-wide damage. This has effectively replaced Sacred Soil, which is now an incredibly niche skill.
-Broil: Mana-intensive Ruin I replacement with 170 potency. Extremely good for adding damage during fights, and it provides Scholar with some much-needed burst damage for low health adds.
-Deployment Tactics: Spread the current target's Galvanize and Eye for an Eye effects (if cast by you) to other, nearby targets. Lets you plant an Adlo shield on your entire party if they're capable of stacking. Great pre-shielding for periods of high damage.
-Emergency Tatics: Converts your next Galvanize into a heal on a 30s cooldown. Good for healing up tank crunches or for phase transitions.

Basically, Scholar got some solid healing throughput tools and a great single-target damage spell. It rounds out the class nicely. I'm very much enjoying playing it!

Sch is the only class I see people just eh' whatever. Were happy as far as I know. Thus the less complainty thread from us. The only major differences is selene is aoe esuna which means more play play. Eos doesn't scale healing at 60. (but they said adjustments in the future). Can't lustrate in cleric but dancing has always been our plus.

All in all, sch is happy. Sch is love, sch is life.

    Edit:
People don't like dissipation but it actually is nice in savage especially on faust with 9 line ups of flow for dding.

SCHs are in a very nice spot atm. Their shielding will never get out of style and were given the option to do some burst healing which is more than every SCH player can ask for. And as gear gets better, you can stay on Cleric Stance longer and do some damage while your Roused fairy can solo heal the tank. As soon as you have Broil, you'll never use Ruin ever again.... Unless if you'll blind targets with Ruin II but that's just about it.

Go for it and embrace the SCH within you.

Scholars are in an even better spot than before. Basically, we gained loads of AoE burst healing capability

The first is obvious, Indomitability - A nice instant AoE cure for one Aetherflow stack. Heals a bit less than Lustrate, but it's fantastic.

Deployment Tactics - Not so fantastic for spreading Eye for an Eye, unless aggro is going everywhere. It's fantastic before raid wide damage where people are stacked, like a Primal's Ultimate. Shielding everybody for 2k, or about 6k if you get a crit, you can sometimes completely nullify ultimates, or save a group from a wipe on an ultimate when you don't quite get the mechanics perfect. Or, just use it to shield the Melee DPS if there's a chance they'll be hit.

Emergency Tactics - Amazing in every way. Only a 30s cooldown, hell yea! Use it to either get your tank back up QUICK (although you have Lustrate for this still), or even better to cure up the party quickly if your Indom is on cooldown. A Succor + ET Succor is very nice.

Our other abilities are somewhat useful, but not as much. Broil is a good damaging move, and Dissipation is insanely niche,
