Melee DPS Explained (Beginner Guide)

Hello everyone!

For the second time in the last month I saw someone mention the fact that the game doesn't explain basic gameplay mechanics very well so I thought I'd share a video. It teaches the absolute basics of disciples of war so if you're a veteran player (or even a player of at least a few months), you might not learn much but a new person—you're gona' like it.

you can get way better computers for a lot less money than alienware. Building is by far the best route and modern computer parts are almost as simple as legos. If building isn't an option for some reason then places like www.digitalstormonline.com are decent.

Not bad, but I'd suggest slowing down or pausing when you put up text, and highlighting the abilities used while explaining it. For instance when using the oGCDs having some highlighting pointing out that you can use some abilities (your oGCDs) but not most during those times would have been good. The character animations, for ninja especially, tend to flow together regardless of using oGCDs well enough that it's hard to see you're getting an extra attack there--though you are explaining it.

I'd also suggest an overlay of the targeting circle for enemies with 'flank' 'rear' and 'front' labeled on it. Possibly also with something indicating that melee DPS generally stand at the butt corner because almost all positionals are back and flank (I believe the only exception is sneak attack, if memory serves). Something like the target ring in this image.

Otherwise, it does cover all the basics.
