The fact that both factions will continue to fight each other boggles my mind as its like HEY GUYS WANNA LIKE GO CAPTURE THE SHORE NODES CUZ THAT GC IS JUST SITTING THERE WITH AN A RANK AND B RANK NODE?
But ppl r like naw and continue to fight in the middle. Then a minute later woahhhh

Immortal flames - 320/800
Twin adders - 375/800
Maelstrom - 725/800

Its like oh jeez i wonder how they r so far ahead without even engaging. Oh thats right an S rank spawned in their stronghold and adders decide to be scrubs and block us off. Now repeat this scenario 10x in a row and thats ur average day in sieze.
This has been my experience as well. The issue is that since points gained from node possession outpaces those gained from kills, there's much more incentive to sit back and defend than there is to actually go on the offensive. And unless:

a) your alliance is organized enough to back out of a stalemate and go after the third team / skilled enough to kill off the opposing team, which rarely happens outside of a premade;
b) your opponents who are causing the stalemate back off enough to allow you to go after the third team, which is extremely unlikely;
c) you get favorable RNG with node location pops;

The chances of your alliance exiting a stalemate fast enough to outpace the poiint gains of the idle third team are slim to none, and choosing option B to try and compete for first place against the leading team often just leads to your alliance getting attacked by both opposing GCs, pushing your team into third rather than second. There needs to be more of an incentive to actually defeat other players in battle.
