EDIT: you edited your post, but theres a difference in the expectation of people learning the fight and the reality of people just plain not really trying at all, your comments about the "backyard fun" part imply more of the latter, if that's not your intention just know it's how it appears.

Well, if you ever did a "backyard" fun with friends sometime then tell me, did you just "not really trying" or did you "try" when having fun? I know I atleast did what was needed to when having that backyard fun. I was just not kicking a ball for no reason, I did it to score. I was just not as serious as others might've been doing so.

Depends, if it's a full group of people i know and can mess around with freely then who cares it's w/e we all know what to expect with each other, we can try and have fun and whatever happens, happens.

That attitude changes however with the addition of people i don't personally know, especially if they form the majority of the players in the group and are more goal oriented than i am. My response to them would definitely not be "I want to play how i want to play" if any of those players were offering friendly advice or constructive criticism on how i could improve my performance.

I'm the type of person who loves to learn, so I'd probably be more interested in seeing what they have to show me.

You must have ran over like several black cats or something to not be able to find a capable group for bismark normal. I've done it multiple times now and have wiped once, are you sure you're not doing bismark EX?

I'm curious as to how much pre HW content you completed? I think a lot of the msq in hw goes off the assumption you cleared a lot of the previous content (much of which was actually forced upon you). I think they did a fairly decent job balancing the difficulty so newcomers felt challenged and veterans werent completely bored out of their minds. As many have suggested you should try out the party finder. Its a good way to have better control over a run and meet new people. And your definitely going to want to make friends on your server if you want to try some of the more challenging endgame content. Theres probably hundreds of players on your server that have their alex drops, eso's capped, no interest in crafting, bored out of their mind, whod be down to help someone clear story mode bismarck. Id do it just out of revenge for all the ex whipes.
