    This.

The way content generally is outside of savage even if you mess up your rotation as long as you *know* the rotation you will deal the damage you are required to deal given the margin of error Yoshi provides, but a lot of players straight up don't know and then well failed dps check in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Then they're out there wondering why the dps check is failing and start a PF asking for Warriors and DPS healers to get them through the Avery, when the problem lies in them-self. Thats why Duty finder is a pain in the ass, the content is basically tuned so give a large margin of error, but players still fall outside of it, not because of mechanics. Wiping on mechanics is to be expected if you don't know them, but failing because they can't hold aggro or they can't do damage, and yet these are the foundation of their role.

You can give them a parser but what does that tell them that their rotation is wrong? The game could've told them their rotation was wrong eons ago. If you meet the ilevel requirement a dps problem is 99% of the time. pressing buttons too slow, pressing the wrong buttons or ignoring a mechanic.

Bismarck HM gets brought up, you don't even worry about the buff there. Basically outside of Dragon killers and the generator which a healer is typically handling... the team just does damage, which should be mad simple but isn't since players don't know their rotations.

You get skills slowly and many times are designed to ramp up the rotation as you level. If someone did not/can not figure it out mmos might not be for that someone. No other mmo explains top dps rotations and many times even top players need to number crunch and debate to come up with "best" rotation. The story fates and dungeons in no way need the best rotation anyways just a normal understanding of the class and at least an understood priority list.

It doesn't help that they nerf the hell out of practically everything before the new content so new players can speed through, then they get to something which is slightly challenging and are thrown back by it because they've literally walked through the rest of the content.

Obviously people's gear and item levels account for that too which can't be helped.

Because lot of them don't look at stats before putting in points nor read skills and put them to good use

You'll find a group that can do it eventually in duty finder though; just gotta be tenacious.
    This.

It's OK to have "standards" that the players must meet. The problem is when other people are punished when a player doesn't meet said standard - instead of just the player himself/herself.

Or: Fire III - Fire III - Fire III - Fire III - Blizzard III - Enochian - Blizzard IV - Blizzard IV - Blizzard IV.
Blame SE for naming new spells that serve a completely different function from the "preceding spell" like they are upgrades for the said "preceding spell".

ohhhh Ragnarok, so much nostalgia <3 I only played vanilla a short time, and moved to a (marginally) increased rate server, which was still a billion times more grindy than this.

As much as I freak myself out over running something for the first time, and being scared I will mess up and inconvenience everyone, I would prefer it if everything in the main game wasn't a complete snoozefest. It doesn't necessarily need to be hard, but I like people needing to actually think. With that said, I don't know how some people got as far as they have with the play I've seen. But the MMO kind of thing to do, or at least once was the MMO kind of thing to do, would be to work it out within the group and progress through it. Help people grow. It totally happens! Duty Finder makes it difficult, but it still happens. It's nice finding people within your server to run things with.

On the other side of the coin, it is frustrating when people just don't listen to you. You gotta make the best of it though. If you know a fight in and out, make a macro explanation and hope someone reads it. If you're still having no luck, shout in the world and use party finder!

Why is the game grindy and have a main scenario that punishes you for playing with others that don't know what to do after 3.. 4... 5.. 6.. tries until everyone does abandon leave.
I don't think you have, go play Lineage 2, or Ragnorok Online then you can know grind.

The only reason it will get better is because the people that struggle with it will either stop trying and never finish the msq then get bored and un sub or just say screw it and un sub before they try something else. An attitude that is currently ok with the majority of the people on the forums but ultimately hurts the game.

It is a little over tuned for the gear that people are going in with and needs to have the dps check lowered. It will happen just like what they did with SoF
