    Alternate leveling ways ?

    Hello everyone !

with the coming of Heavensward, we got 3 new jobs, but this time, no Hunting Log, no Story quests and side quests left to help the leveling process :/

So, as I'm running low on allowances, I tryed to look for "alternate" ways to level up. Back in FF XI, we had the amazing XP party, and in FF XIV 1.0 we had some wonderfull PL places. I tryed ask ingame, without luck, and Google came only with RMT offer >.>

That's why I'm asking for advices here ! My g/f and I are looking for the community help about good Party/PL spots, at least to reach 50 in a faster way.
We both have all the "old" job to 50, know how to decently play, and while the "enjoy the leveling and learn your job" was fun the first 21times, it's getting a bit old now.

I'm open to give any ideas a try, while I keep looking on my side. You can reply here, in MP, or get me ingame (Nastumi Losstarot on the Ragnarok server).

Thanks a lot girls and guys

I imagined the new classes as a class all ready to go (Job Spec), the only real way to learn it is to play it, unlike the standard classes where you start at 1 and level to 50 learning as you go, the new ones drop you right in it.

I played a DRK a bit and from just the lvl 30 skills it plays very much like both PLD and WAR.

Your basic 3 skill combo, a paried attack, aoe and ranged single aggro attack. "Auras" to boost abilities (attack vs aggro + defence) although you can use both.
As always though, FATE grinding is the most effective way to 50 (as I've experienced) after 50 though I have HEARD dungeons are much better.

Actually, if I asked, it's mainly because I hate FATEs, really >< Since day 1 or ARR I tryed to avoid them as much as I could, but now I'm out of quests to level, and in a real shortage of allowance, I need to find another way of leveling. FATEs as occasionnal events are fine, but as a main way of leveling ? Still, I'm sure we could make some real good XP party in this game, like we did on Mamools or in Sky in XI.

As for the new jobs, starting at 30 is strange... it's too low to use them right away, but high enough to feel lost we you get them.

I leveled through dungeons. Dungeon grind. Sometimes you meet jerks sometimes nice people.. but I just like it overall.

I also hate FATE leveling... it teaches nothing about how to play the job/class and they're boring to level with (I like doing them for fun though).
I also thought it was weird to not start at level one.. I like learning my actions one at a time, makes it easier to learn for me.

The fastest it still FATES...so this would be the best case for you:
    1. FATES grind while waiting for your dungeon que to keep the XP rolling in.
    2. This way you are learning the job in the dungeon and how to play it and not just how to get Gold credit of the FATE.
    3. These jobs are okay to start out at 30 because they are very similar to other jobs in how they work.
    4. I just looked at my Astro's abilities and set up my bar in a few minutes and did Haukke Manor with no issues while dpsing almost the entire fight.
    5. If you know who to play the game it is really easy to pick up the new jobs with just a little practice in dungeons.
    6. YOu also have to make use of your CHALLENGE LOG that gives great XP if you use ALL the options it provided each week.

If you want to do a bunch of different things I'd check out the challenge log, just to keep things fresh you can focus on it rather than do FATEs or dungeons all day only. It'll lead you through FATEs of multiple zones, Dungeons, Guildhest, and leves. Hunting log is another one that you can use to help break up the leveling experience. Consider bringing along your chocobo too, great exp options for your chocobo in the challenge log.

In general though, and unfortunately so (for those who don't like it, you and I in the same boat lol), FATEs are one of the best and fastest ways to level through dedicated time (dungeon leveling roulette has a superb exp buff once a day, but I'm assuming you want to level for hours straight).

Kind of a funny guide here, much wow: http://www.ffxivguild.com/ffxiv-gene...powerleveling/
