Alternatively, they could lower the damage banish and scourge do.

Or the could up the damage on a 4ac, 172mp, 180s cooldown spell to be better than banish and scourge, instead of further nerfing thm actions, the damage spells in question, to be at the same damage level as the new main healers elemental spells?

I have noticed that Shadowsear ends up being a big waste of MP too. Banish II/scourge II > Shadowsear atm, and only cost 3 ac, 44mp, and 10s recast. You could do more damage in 1 scourge or banish than with 1 shadowsear for 1/4 the mp cost.
