JP Server, English Players

Wondering what JP servers still have an english community.
Tonberry is on permanent lock I reckon, need a new server that my partner will be able to make a toon on and play

I'd imagine Ridill still has a fairly large English population given it was Selbina (i.e. unofficial XI player server) in 1.0.

Tonberry has some of the worst lag I've ever experienced. Xferred there for three days to check out the supposed "awesome PVP ques" (which were literally just as slow there as with every other sever that I've been on), and every action was delayed by 1s or more. It's unplayable if you live in North America. I hear it's good for Austraulian folk, though.

Tonberry is pretty much dominated by the English community. More specifically by Oceanic and SEA players. But there are others too like Germany, US, etc as I know a few. I don't know about the lag but I do occasionally experience them but I'm assuming it's the same for every other server.

If I were to give an estimate, 80% of the PF is dominated by English-speaking parties with the other 20% being JP-Only parties. In dungeons you get a mixed since we are in the JP data center so we get matched with the other JP servers. But if you have trouble with Japanese you can just queue as "EN" only and the queue isn't that bad. But tbh I feel that the JP community is better and unless you are doing end-game content the dungeons should be do-able with a JP party. As for FCs, it's the same as the PFs. Basically dominated by EN FCs. I think the top FC in Tonberry is Japanese but iirc there is only one notable JP FC.

Try Belias, it's small intimate and you can get a lot done. There should be a couple FC english speakers there

Yep lots of Hunt LS around on Tonberry. I'm in 4 atm, dropped 2 to fit in my static LS and PvP LS. Yea we have a PvP LS too. Basically just think of Tonberry as an EN server since you pretty much forget that you are on a JP server soon enough. The only time I ever see Japanese appear on my logs are during dungeon runs or during frontlines.
