Its a THM with their 2h weapon.

Oh, no. That just looks like a variation of the velveteen robe. D: Anyway, I doubt it. I hope not. If anything scholar should become a class onto itself. It could have a bunch of new skills, and if it is a job it might be attached to Arcanist.
The hat is the Cavalier's hat.
I really think that is just the outfit, from an angle that makes the hat look more square than it is.
Also there is no upcoming way that I could see sch, unless it was a job for arcanist, which I doubt. Also that is so far along in the future, itd be ridiculous for them to add now. We have 1.19 coming for some balance. Then 1.2 is supposed to be smaller and I think 1.21 is the magic job patch. After jobs are released there will be 1.22 which balances them. Then after they are balanced we'll finally be able to consider the class arcanist coming out.
As a side note, sch wasnt a useless job. Just as red mage performed well in all roles simultaneously, sch performed one side of the magic branch well or the other, and had to switch.
i really wan thm to get necromancer
It's a THM casting fire in passive mode.
It's one of those fancy hats with the feather. I want one.
I liked SCH in FFXI. It was a very interesting class that was actually added to be sj. SCH brought to XI the flexibility the game was lacking due the fail skill system. Was very nice for, as example, having higher tier nukes to combo with DRK elemental skills oe allowing SMN to use enfeebling magic even without enfeebling skills.
Also, sublimation was a godsend skill. Too bad SCH was just an awesome sj, not really being better than any color mage when disputing a role.
And talking about SCH here, it prolly would actually used a grimoire as weapon, like in FFT...after all the grimoire is the SCH weapon.
People who likely only played SCH on it's initial release aside, it was a great job and in other FF games that they exist they play in a similar fashion. XI's incoporation of it was because face it, you either have White Magic, Black Magic or Fell Magic (Blue), a SCH is definitely not a Blue Mage. SCH's also had the ability to control weather activated gear and bonuses, something no other mage can directly control outside of having Sea access for Obis.
A SCH can also directly control hate levels. So yes, SCH did indeed bring something different to the table. This is not a SCH, but I would rather see them use a Grimoire.
