Crafting 2 star recipes in gear that just meets the requirements?

Would it be possible if all the mats are in HQ? The CP is very low too, only at 373.

Possible but not easy. I HQ'd 2 pieces this week using control food to get me over the minimum. On one I had almost all HQ mats except the aethersand and fieldcraft materia. I got pretty lucky HQing the griffin leathers at 15% and 58%. I started around 3500 quality and got 100% with very good RNG. On the second piece I had much less quality going in - I only managed to HQ 1/4 Astral silks. I started at 1900 and finished at 80% with pretty good RNG again. I wasn't using an optimal rotation so maybe I could have done better.

The rotation on the last page of that thread can be done with your CP if you are able to use HQ seafood stew. You will need to drop the sh before PbP as indicated though.

minimal stats means possible, but not always easy. heck you could hq from nq mats with a bit of good luck as ive seen bb get 14k quality pushes on 10 stacks and only gs up.

Even with all HQ mats I doubt it's possible to totally 100% with max melded gear currently accessable.

That said, if your good at crafting, you should have no problem with your cp and hq mats, but RNG will still be a factor, even if the odds are good.

With 439 cp, 729 craft, and 752 control using seafood stew HQ (50 cp 31 control) I was able to 100% hq my bsm offhand with all HQ mats besides one landborne aethersand. I had 2 RS fails, 2 HT fails, 11 IQ, and normal on my BB; so it's doable. I am pretty sure there are better rotations out there now when I did mine.

By "100%" I was meaning 100% HQ every time, i.e. Guaranteed HQ.

As far as I know there is not yet a "rotation" using only 100% skills that can 100% 2* lvl60 crafts, but it is possible.
