A NIN for goad.
A NIN for goad.
I know. It was surprised you would want a NIN to keep up slashing for you. I rather keep slashing up myself (as a WAR) so the NIN, a DPS job, can do even more DPS.
If content asks for SP and there is a NIN in the group, of course. This is only needed for the first few weeks in the hardest content.
So yeah, I had to pause to check if you were serious. Apparantly you were.
The ninjas in our cluster overwrite the slashing debuff almost immediately with their own, even after saying you'll put it up for them. I'm not sure if it's unique to the Aether server cluster or what.I know. It was surprised you would want a NIN to keep up slashing for you. No it's probably a force of habit as part of the rotation and not trusting you to keep it up 100%. When I used to play my Warrior I would expressly tell the Nina that I would keep up Storm's Eye in farm groups, but they would eventually overwrite it. I finally stopped trying to make them not use their own though I still used mine.
If I'm running something without the downtime needed to refresh TP, (one of) a NIN/BRD/MCH/AST to refresh my TP. Otherwise, competent players, and healers that don't refuse to let me do big pulls in dungeons because "DRK is Squishy" (Not that we're not slightly squishier than a PLD, but when I overgear the ilvl requirement of the content by 40 ilvls, I think it's time I started considering bigger or even full pulls).

True, in pugs you'll have slashing/dragon kick and the DRG one overwritten.. It's not that bad, just a waste of DPS.
I just don't see how OP wants a NIN to keep slashing up for him. He has to maim anyway.
I think using DE if NIN is forced to attack from the front (Ravana seeing wings, or just simply tank spinning mob twice per second) is the best option out of those 3, but I dont main NIN so could be wrong.
Dancing edge is a dps gain from the sides or back until they learn armor crush. After that, it does the most damage of the ninja is forced to attack from the front for whatever reason.
Aeolian Edge does 240 potency out of position, 320 from the back, Armor Crush is, iirc, 280 from the sides, 240 out of position, and dancing is a flat 260 regardless of direction.
Goad. I want goad.....
Nah but seriousness my raid comp is drk, war, nin, mnk, smn, mch, sch, whm and that works for us.
Our monk kinda makes my delirium simply used for my own dps but overall our raid dps is solid and we have pretty good overall utility. Would probably benefit more from a dragoon tho but that's just looking at it from a what's most optimal pespective.
in a case like that you should prolly tell the monk to switch to dragoon both so that there not overwriting your delirium and for the piercing debuff dragoon has which would help the MCH...Goad. I want goad.....
