Tank dungeon bots?

Twice tonight I have had characters with names like Yjnngh gggjgh join our duty. They run into a pack of mobs, spam flash until OOM then just sit there auto attacking.


Has anyone else encountered this?

1.) It would not respond to add's joining the battle. It would stay stuck one target until it died then it switched.
2.) It would follow the wall as if it got stuck. It would only move to the center after it aggroed a mob.
3.) It used no skills other then flash and auto attack. Nothing else.
4.) Name was pure gibberish and would not respond to party inquires for help.

Come on now. As a PLD main, I can tell you we have 2 buttons, Flash, and Vote Abandon.

This was defiantly off by pulling one mob and flashing until OOM then just sitting there not responding when other add's chase a party member around. The character is fixated on one target the entire time until it dies then it moves to the next. It then got stuck on the corner of the wall following it around until it aggroed a mob.

Oh, yeah, its almost certifiably bots. Us forum goers just think we are HILARIOUS.

I remember happening the same months ago.
Me and the other 2 people constantly talking to the tank but he is just ignored and proceeded to do the 1 focus mob and ignore everything else.
Resulted in Eos tanking the whole dungeon.

i will often say this in party chat: Please type "Notabot" in party chat, if you are not a bot" if i suspect one or more of the team is a bot. It leads to some fun conversations, and some kicks of bots, or people who don't read english. Sorry jp's or others who roll a character on an NA server, and play like you're an idiot scripted roBOT.

Dungeon running bots do exist. Generally, I caution people to not be overly cavalier in botting accusations (as folks often are of those doing fates or gathering, etc), but it sounds like you may well have run into one.
