To craft 2 star stuff you need red scrip mats, but additionally to the red scrips you also have to trade 20 mats you get from gathering favor nodes. To gather them you need red gatherer scrips.
The buff lasts 15 minutes and you get 5 scrolls to buff you per 50 scrips. So you have 45 scrolls which each lasts 15 minutes. To not waste them you gotta keep gathering the whole 15 mins. This times 45 = over 11 hours of mindless gathering per week
