Its not the time to cap red scrip which is the problem, but the amount of time i have to spend gathering favors. Sure i can aim for scrip gear, but thats just gimping yourself inthe long run.

But isn't that what the OP is complaining about? Also you can compare crafted two stars to 210 battle gear, in that both are BIS. There are already people who have their crafted class specific weapon. How many people have a 210 battle weapon? A 200 weapon?
You also don't have to spend time gathering favors if you truly don't want to. You can buy the mats from someone else. Theoretically you could also buy an A4 kill, but that's months away. Buying favor mats is here right now.
There are reasons to complain about the scripts system but it is a lot harder and longer to get the comparable battle gear.

You seem to be under the assumption that favor mats are easy to get when they are in fact compared to Thavnairan Silks in rarity. A Single piece of crafted i170 or i180 gear takes more time, effort, and money than a i210 piece. But isn't that what the OP is complaining about? You seem to be under the assumption that it is easy to get an i210 piece. No one in the entire world has step foot in A4. People do, however, have i180 crafted main hands. So I'm going to say that something that has been done is easier than something that has never been done.
I am very sure there are many times more i210 pieces in game, than there are i180 crafted pieces. You seem to be under the assumption that it is easy to get an i210 piece.
