Its a useless skill. Its not even on my bars. Why sacrifice utility when using it just to punish yourself 30 seconds later to either swiftcast (wasting it) a summon or go through the full channel. No thanks. If i want to have less utility to the group I'll play my AST.

I can account to the claim that it has use in endgame, mostly savage right now at this point. I but one of the few, if not only, that doesn't see this ability as an "oh shit" desperation ability.

You have to be aware that you'll be needing to use more than 3 aetherflow abilities in less than the minute it takes Aetherflow to come off of cool down. That's basically all it's good for in terms of healing.

Everything else about this skill is negligible until you try to apply it's use in content you really shouldn't need it in where it becomes detrimental.

    - It's a crappy oh-shit button. However, this is what Yoshi and team tell us it is for. *headscratch*
    - It's really nice for pushing additional DPS when you won't need to heal. That's really more a matter of players taking this lemon skill and making lemonade out of it.
    - There is rarely ever a time where you are going to plan to use so many Aetherflow stacks for healing purposes and can't or shouldn't just otherwise use the rest of your healing kit since restoring your healing buddy will take a small MP dump along with a Swiftcast (or several seconds of doing nothing, in which case DPSing would have been preferable).

It's not that people don't "get" the skill; it's that it still sucks for what SE tells us it was intended to be.

Sadly, when I was forced to use it, I can imagine Yoshi P and the rest of the devs saying, in a sith like voice, "Good! Now eat Eos." I have no ideal how I'm going going to apply the skill until I move on to A2 savage and onward. I don't like the ability anymore than anymore than any one else here. I'm just saying, to SE, it's working as intended apparently. You know they aren't fond of us playing to far outside the box they made after FFXI.

My only problem w/ Dissipation is that you have to resummon fairy. Swiftcast + Summon uses a GCD that would be better spent healing. Sometimes this isn't a problem though. I use Dissipation near the end of fights so I don't need to resummon.

btw, I forgot that Rouse exists. Rouse should be on CD when you use Dissipation, so you don't lose extra healing.
