Which stats for WHM lvl 60?

    Hey guys!

I'm kinda new to FFXIV and currently farming my 170 equipment.
I'm playing a WHM and there are quite a lot of stats to think about.

My equipment consists of mainly 170 and 160 and 2 145 pieces.

So my question is what are the stats i should focus on as a WHM?
I feel i have quite a lot of Spell Speed and lack Determination and Crit.

Also, is the weapon a priority or is it just as important as all the other stuff?

And should i wait with my esoteric tomestones or spend it for a ring or necklace?

Sorry, lots of questions. But i don't wanna "ruin" my stats from the beginning and there is obviously a lot of farming involved.

    Thx in advance,

    Istaria

Weapon Damage > MND > DET.

    And IMO: SS > Crit

Outside of healing, accuracy is also a consideration.

    WEapon is a priority

The higher the weapon damage the better your heals are. IT scales your heals by the damage. Also, you want piety and mind as mains, then focus SS, and Crit as previous post said. you can also SS, Determination as well.

Weapon Damage > Mind (which equals pure Item level) > (maybe Piety for a bigger MP Pool and better MP management) > Rest.

Honestly, det, crit or ss doesnt matter at all. Get your item level up, thats it.
You can care about substat combos when you get multiple 210 piece for the same slot, and have to chose which substats you prefer.

As for Esoterics: The most efficient and strongest upgrade would be saving for Weapon. As this will be your best Weapon untill you beat A4 savage, OR untill Relic comes out and you bring that to 200/210~.

Maybe Body next week, if you are more about looks... But Weapon would give you the biggest boost.
Plus, our Weapon has Boobs. Cant argue against that.

Weapon Damage > Primary stat > everything else -- is pretty straight forward, and it's the same for all jobs

As a WHM I've never focused PIE, 'cuz MP isn't an issue unless you have to rez 6 people and if you have to rez 6 people either it's a fight where you can put off rezing until you have MP, or you're dead anyways. My focus was DET > SS > Crit, but I regreted that because I was playing SCH a lot and having to come up with a Crit > DET gearset for SCH. With WHM I feel like you can get away with just about any build--I feel it is the most flexible job in the game for secondary stats because it benefits from them all, but none of them majorly. So with that said, because I like Crit for AST, my WHM will go DET/Crit.

I do the same asGeetMatt: I play Scholar and White Mage and so Prioritize around my Scholar gear set first which I prioritize Weapon>Mind>Crit>DET>SS>.
For just White Mage the other poster has it dead on.

Piety is essential on whm is you want dps as healer during savage raids.

Personnally for my whm is something like MND > PIE > SS & DET.

CRIT is better and more usefull on SCH. (like the PIE for WHM in fact)

I haven't tried out Savage yet, admittedly, so you may be right, khyan. But I do pump out DPS on the regular, particularly when I get to burn down large pulls on speed runs and I get annoyed (slightly insulted) when a tank slows down for my MP or a BRD plays manasong in battle unless I died. I guess I'll see if I need PIE soon enough but until I see it for myself it won't be a focus. You may be a better player than I am, but because I see so many WHMs who are bad at MP management I like to decide for myself.

One thing I mention frequently is the "Use SoS at 70% MP" or whatever your magic number is--this rule is good for WHMs who are learning, but with experience you should be using SoS as needed based on your current and upcoming MP consumption, and your ability to predict that has a massive impact on how much healing/DPSing you can do altogether. My general goal is to never be quite 100% MP, but as close as possible (though every rule has it's moments to bend).

Everyone will have different opinions on this, and the expansion is too new for us to have all of the facts just yet. What I can say with 100% certainty is that Weapon Damage and Mind are absolute top priority, and not a single healer alive will debate that. Spell Speed is better on white mage than it is on the other 2 healers, because we are a HoT class. Crit is most useful on a scholar, but its not bad.

My personal opinion for White Mage is: Weapon Damage, Mind, Spell Speed, Determination, Crit.
I don't care about Piety because its just going to be there or it isnt. A good healer will learn to manage either way, and the difference it makes is quite minimal.
I'm at i185 and still have nearly 13k mana with my regen ticks sitting around 1100 each and around 1400 on a warrior.

Determination was severely nerfed in 3.0. Spell speed was hugely buffed for a job like WHM since it's a HoT-focused role. As of June, Spell Speed will ALWAYS be a better choice over Determination for WHM.
