Why is crafting so useless?

It's a fun system and has so much potential, and yet they've decided to make it entirely worthless aside from glamour.

I enjoy crafting quite a bit; it's obvious a lot of work went into it. Can we lighten up on the obvious decision to make all current crafted gear irrelevant alongside tomestone/raid gear drops?

By patch 3.1 and beyond you'll get plenty of things to craft like the new relics, more glamour specific gear, furniture, gear for everyone.

Just be patient; crafting has always been a grind

Sorry, but people asking for 100K gil for one single draconian HQ pot or food from me is enough.
I don't really like the idea of having to dish out 50M gil for gear to be able to raid (that's something crafters would actually like).

I don't mind crafts being more useful, I actually enjoy crafting a lot, but it has to stay the hell away from raiding.

Relic was a nice show of greedness. All items could be crafted together under 1M gil but crafters were asking for 1M gil each. People who didn't have crafters or crafter friends were f*cked.

On Cerberus, STR HQ pots are 30-40k, DEX HQ pots are 12-15k, INT HQ pots are 7-9k.

Does Ragnarok only have 2 crafters and 1 gatherer or something like that, or are you just making up numbers?

Not surprising. Crafters can also be fairly cut throat when people enter their "turf" in the MB via with undercutting, market manipulation, etc. Which probably discourage the newer/ less seasoned crafters

She is mistaken, they are currently ranging from 500gil to at most around 40k, some of the variations of them are around 20k and one is around 5k. All of the prices I just listed are current on Ragnarok for HQ versions of the various draconian potions so they are around same as prices on your server.

Even tho these same potions drop from maps and are thus dirt cheap rather then 100k gil?

But lets not have a biased opinion that makes no sense. Crafters would like to be able to craft something actually useful, that is all.

Then again what raider would want to know a crafter these days, unless they'd like a savage Alex furniture.
