Possible fix for PvP GC restrictions.

I've been reading through and mostly what I see is people asking to remove the GC restriction so I apologize if someone has already suggested this and I missed it.

Instead of forcing players to be allied to one GC or another for PvP, allow players with premade groups to pick a GC to fight for, simply by changing the party leader. If the leader is Maelstrom, then the entire group goes to Maelstrom, even if every other member is in another GC.

It's as good an idea as any. There are plenty of ways to approach it; the problem is getting SE to agree to do, well, anything.

Step 1. Convince SE current system is broken and we hate it
Step 2. Convince them to actually care about the above
Step 3. Solve world hunger, global warming and broker a few lasting peace treaties between people that have been at war for 50 years+ because if you pull off 1 & 2 successfully, your talents shouldn't go to waste.

this is pretty much the level it's at. the devs simply don't care. and it's a straight up lie that they read these forums and take our feedback into account, because if they did then pvp wouldn't be in the complete state of crap it is in right now.

They really just need to ease up the restriction. I get why they have Grand Companies as factions for Frontlines, and I really like that aspect of Frontlines so I guess I agree with them, but there is no denying that it is bad for queues.

Right now we have a situation where 72 people can queue, but if it's not a perfect split of 24 people across all Grand Companies, we get nowhere. All they need to do is prioritize placing people in the right Grand Company, not forcing people in the right one...

First things first, give us a proper display when queuing. Right now when we queue, we know nothing, just how long we've been queuing and the estimated time it'll take. Unlike all the other queues in this game, we cannot see how many other people are in the queue. That is really bad for actually keeping people in the queue... If you have no idea what the progress on starting a game is, you're more likely to just withdraw. If you could see 70/72, you'd be more incline to stay and wait it out. All the need to do is replace the Tank/DPS/Healer display everything else has, with a Maelstrom/Immortal Flames/Twin Adder display.

Ease up the that restriction though, so give us a Maelstrom/Immortal Flames/Twin Adder and ? display. You queue up, you get placed in the ? group. After about a minute, it looks at the other people in the queue and assigns them a Grand Company. Say only 3 people queue, for 1 minute those 3 are in in the ? group, after that they are split equally among the Grand Companies. If they're all in different Grand Companies, great, they all go in their Grand Company, if they're all Flames, two of them end up fight for "the enemy". When the game finally starts, they get an additional message (like the "Yo, screw your materia" message at the start) informing them that they've been selected to fight for a rival Company to balance out matches, if they play properly and take that Grand Company to victory, they will get additional rewards.

This should speed up queues. If 72 players queue up, and there is a 10A/32F/30M split, there are 72 people in the ? group and we can see that and know a game will start very soon. The excess Flames and Maelstrom will end up getting put in with the Adders, rather than waiting for an additional 14 Adders, who'll get instant queues, while the excess Flames and Maelstrom end up in queue purgatory. Given WoW has more or less done this, it's kind of worrying to think that Blizzard is listening to us better than SE...

Another way to solve it would be to drop the GC which holds back a match.

Lets say it's 5/24/24. Drop the 1st GC and let the 2 others play. Then the 5 from the left out GC can accumulate players for the next match.

They should even allow 4vs4vs4 matches when times are rough imo. Even 4vs4 (like a huge map wolves den lol). I would play it.

Honestly over the years there were hundreds of good ideas, SE just don't give a damn about PvP community or their ideas.
So actually it is not about coming up with some suggestion but forcing SE to atleast look into PvP section.
