Pshhh... Shkohhh... (Goblins)

I've noticed Goblins always say Pshhh... Shkohhh... at the beginning of most things they say, and I've started to wonder about it. As far as I know, there are no voiced goblins. I've come to imagine that this is supposed to be a radio static noise, such as when someone presses down the talk button on a walkie talkie.

Or is this some sort of throat clearing goblins do?

I think your fist guess is probably the closest though because they wear masks all the time maybe its kind of a darth vader type deal with the breathing.

It could have to do with their masks, which may be some sort of breathing apparatus. So maybe they're all Darth Vader?

It's gas mask breathing sounds. Goblins wear masks with scented herbs in them because they can't stand the smell of the overworld.

That would explain it...still, I'm curious to see what they look like beneath their masks.

I know that there is some concept art from their FFXI days, but nothing concrete as to what would they look like NOW with their current models.

I imagine they look more or less the same as goblins from other FF games. Long noses, pointy teeth, etc. Like XV's goblins but less scary.

Oh i hate them in FF XV, they come in swarm and give bad poison.

I suspect their tanks we see in Brayflox HM and Alexander probably are styled to look like a goblin face.
