Yukimitsu blade color

I was excited that the image from the patch notes showed off a cool color blade but when I tried it on it was just plain steel is this intended? Kinda of a huge let down it makes it very ordinary :|

I guess if you upgrade it, you will have a chance to color it.

Well depends if it's the blade or the hilt that's dyeable?

If they shown it in the patch notes (?) then its most likely legit and the blade can be dyed once upgraded. If not, you might be mistaking it for another weapon? Highly doubt they've falsely advertised it.

That's the image and yes the blade is dyeable when upgraded but even the in game icon shows that as the default color however that is not the case.

Huh, yeah I see it now. Weird, as bizarre as it sounds it might be the angle it's taken at, I haven't previewed it myself but that's either the angle or its legit and the blade is dyed

The difference in color is way too big to be a matter of angle I actually really liked the color they showed and if it's dyed why is it on the icon and the image? They always show that stuff in default colors.

True, I highly doubt its the angle too xD well for the sake of variety I hope your right and the blade is dye-able!

The item icons and preview images don't appear to be rendered using the game's engine - this usually means the lighting looks completely different, and they might be using different, higher-quality assets.
Take the Alexander gear preview, for example:

Honestly, I'm more annoyed that the weapon (and most of the NIN Esoteric gear) is HORRIBLY slotted rather than the blade color. (Skill Speed is. not. good. SE. :/)

But seriously, it's probably dyeable when you upgrade it or they just flat out changed it.
