A question About Materia System

Hi guys, maybe it's on the wrong place but I also want to talk with some crafters that already reached 60 to tell me this...
Is the % to Affix a materia is better than 2.0? I Affixed a Tier III STR materia on a Ring to my Warrior on 2.5 and I spent 15~20 materias to do it since we had a 7% chance to affix a tier III materia in the 5th materia slot, does this % got higher? I cant Imagine using the Tier V since it's % to get success on affixing a meteria would be so low that we would spent almost 50 materias to get something affixed.

As far as I know, the percentage is still the same. The Tier V's will likely be restricted to guaranteed slots for the moment, considering their price.

My preference would be for them to either add in a "Rapid Meld" option that will simply attempt to meld a certain type of materia to a slot until it succeeds (preferably all done in a single calculation cycle), or just make it so that there's a flat cost of X materia to meld to a slot. The current system is both tedious and immensely swingy.
