I love the joyful mood of this pic.

I wonder how I missed seeing rainbows so much up until now lol. The time I tend to look upward the most is when there is a clear sky at night because they did an amazing job on the stars. Perhaps its that reason, I keep missing the rainbows. The one I saw in my pic was literally right in front of me so I could not miss it, it was eye level.





Ah! I didn't see the message in my chat log about entering a vista point but I will go back and check. Whether or not the "site" target is visible, the vista point message always shows up when you leave and enter the spot.

Its on the small bridge's rails ( the one in front of the waterfall.

I too was very surprised when I saw my first rainbow... Funny how it's the first time I thought about rainbows and first time I saw one in over a year of gameplay despite my attention to many details in the game!

This post is not about rainbows, however on the topic of light visuals based on atmosphere: Has anyone else noticed Aurora Borealis in Coerthas Western Highlands?

Nope sigh, I'm still trying to unlock Ishgard's gates. I'm trapped behind the King Moogle main scenario battle, I am intimidated by it so it will be a while since it would be my first big party battle that requires more experience with partying than I have yet acquired. /cry

Looking forward to seeing it though!

If you were referring to me, technically no, I unlocked SMN long ago but as for use of egi pets, yes. I did not do the quests to get all of the egi until recently so I relied on carby only for as long as I could because I am new to partying and was avoiding the party content that awards the pets.

Trust me, I was intimidated by it as well because I was a Lv50 PLD so I had to tank it, but I did King Moggle Mog via Duty Finder and completed it. We did wipe twice, but that wasn't due to me lol. We had first timers (including me) so we were unaware of which Moogles to target first. Don't worry, the battle isn't hard at all

Lol when I complimented the picture it totally did not occur to me that it was the buffalo's butt, now I love the picture even more.

This weekend I did the King Moogle via Duty Finder with total strangers. The leader was absolutely amazing, numbered all the targets and gave concise information. No wipes! Very fun instance even though I was nervous and scatterbrained because of it. I can't comprehend having to tank something like that for the first time. Yikes!


I am glad I started this thread.. though after seeing all of these lovely pictures and how often people have seen them, I am a tad bit embarrassed that I have been in this game since 1.0 launch and only saw my first rainbow this month. I keep thinking back to try and recall ever seeing one but alas!
