SE's patch notes are sketchy//innacurate at best/, its why i'm ignoring it.

Almost every patch note they release needs clarification due to misleading and mistakes.

Even the japanese had some mistakes with the recipe part.

According to SE, they stayed til late to commit the release date of the patch notes.

Given the sleep deprivation and length of the post, i wouldn't place complete faith in the wording.

For the recipes, I think that would be due to this:

Great catches. As happens every patch, items are first named -> then translated -> and then given recipes. After all this is done, the development team goes back through the items and starts tweaking the stats and recipes to maintain cross-class balance. It is at this time that something that was originally intended to contain steel ingots, can be changed to contain mythril, etc. A bunch of this tweaking occurred right up to our deadline, thus the discrepancies, but you can rest assured that the names have actually already been fixed (in-game). I apologize that an older list was released, and I'll see if we can't get a new one up there later today.

If the "balance the recipes" stage is occurring after the "name the item" stage, you're gonna get mistakes at some point. Granted, you'd hope they'd double-check before moving on/releasing the list, but a time crunch is a time crunch. >_>

They're trying to enlist a sense of pride in your nation to move people out of uldah They're not stopping you from doing the quest from people of different nations. They're just saying if your linkshell is smart/close enough to stick together and hold a poll to pick a linkshell nation then you EARN better rewards for having such pride

Okay. I Choose Gridania. My friend chooses Ul'dah.

I find a public group shouting for members which say, Gridania only.

To get the best chances of gear i need to choose a GC i may not like. Sounds like a sacrifice to me.
