Favors and the frequency of nodes spawning.

So as we all know we're dropping 50 scrips on 5 favors already. While at first it doesn't seem so bad there is one huge glaring issue. A whole lot of rng.

You have 15 minutes to run around and DEPLETE lv60 nodes to try and get one to pop up. The issue here is, you can go the entire 15 minutes without a node spawning. Or you can get seven, or two, ect ect.

Worst case scenario you aren't going to get what I'd consider 'breaking even' which would be 10 regular favor mats. Anything below that for your 5 favors is a loss on your scrip purchase.

For already being gated, why does it have to rely on rng? In my opinion each favor should have a guaranteed 2 spawns with everything beyond that being rng. This means you'll at least be able to break even rather than lose your already precious and limited scrips. And they can keep the rare favor mats still purely rng so it wont saturate too much (but i don't think we're worried about saturation at this point)

Yup its pretty heart breaking when u see ur crystals go from 450 -> 900+ without seeing a concealed node lol. Then u look at the time and r like gg......
3mins left. Then all of a sudden u start getting the concealed nodes to spawn after every other node.
The rng is sooo freaking cringe worthy that letting down ur guard after u see 1 min left = u could be missing out.
I STILL dont get y se wont allow us to use king's yield to increase the # of rare materials we can harvest tht one time.

Pretty much just figure out where all the nodes in the area are. There will be 3 pairs. Stand beside one and use your favour. Start mining/harvesting the node as quickly as you can, do not use skills. When the node is finished if a concealed node spawns grats, get your mat from it and then deplete it grabbing the clusters. Do not waste skills here either.

Repeat on each of the six nodes over and over as quickly as possible in your 15 minute time limit. The node is comepletely RNG if it spawns or not as long as you are in the right zone for that favour AND on a lvl 60 node in that area. Remember, you must completely use up a node and the chance for a concealed appears quite low. You can fly in and click the node as you are about to land and it will speed you up slightly as well.

I've been averaging 4 Favor mats per use so 20 for 1 token, which is what you need to trade in for the crafting mats. My dilemma is the time required each week to do this, it's just not fun at all, especially for BOT in the Hinterlands where there are 3 spawn points that you might have to stealth gather.

You are way luckier than me or anyone in my FC has been. I barely managed 10 from a set of 5. Someone else Only got 4 and two of their favors had zero node spawns. Too much rng going on for my tastes for something that is needed for just about EVERYTHING

One token will get you 5 Favors each 15 minutes long, so 75 minutes per 1 Token.

One thing I noticed is that you can just get the item you need from the Concealed node, then close the gathering window and start depleting the standard nodes nearby. I did it once by mistake and I got another concealed node that somehow overwrote the old one.

I got 7 Black Swan Feathers from 1 Favor this morning, 4 nodes in a row! It was crazy, I have 8 extra Black Swan Feathers from doing all 5.
