Not if you are trying to make it more casual-friendly, and less dominated by people with who play the game 40+ hours a week.
Under the current system, first you have 2-3+ hours it takes to gather the red scrip turn-ins. This lets you buy 45 Favors. Each favor takes at least 7 minutes to run, including very minimal estimates for travel and setup time. That's another 5.5 hours. So currently. it takes at least 8 hours of game play totally dedicated to red scrip gathering to hit the cap and use the scrip you earned. We don't need to double that.
Disclaimer: I have averaged over 35 hours a week playing FFXIV since I started playing.
