Gathering melds for a starter set lvl 60

Hi everyone,

I hit 60 with all three of my gatherers and seeing how red scrip gear is going to be time gated I want to go ahead and meld all of my gear. Does anyone have any knowledge or information on what the best optimal melding is for the Lvl 60 set?

I want to be able to start working on legendary nodes and above.

Assuming all HQ gear. No melds 574 gath 571 perc 597 gp. Folklore requires 600 gathering. Red scrips optimal non-food is around 640 perc. You have 18 slots to use those 12 materia gained from your lvl 58/60 quests if you choose to.

Put a gathering and a perception IV in each 2 slotted piece. A single slotted piece use whichever is most expensive in the slot. Put the other in next and it is a 29% chance. You can do this to pretty much every slot and then meld GP where you like afterwards. This gets you 650~ 650~ and 600gp fairly inexpensively. These stats allow for folklore HQ gathering, 15 gathers on things like adamantite, 2-4 red scrip gathers, and 3-4 blue scrip gathers. You can go cheaper and just put perception in all of the single slotted pieces and as long as you are over 600 gathering, do not meld any more. This will save on gil, but you will have less then 95% gather rate on red scrips unless you use food.

Lv60 HQ set? Just meld 3 GP and you are set, save yourself some gil.

I'm melded rather inefficiently. Oh well. I'm at 616 Gathering, 652 Perception, and 639 GP. I use a cheap vendor-bought food to bring myself to 650+ (actually, to 660 exactly) GP.

That lets me use Sharp Vision (and the gathering equivalent) to max out the gathering chance, from 95% to 100%, and still use 600 GP on appraising.

Need new gear to be able to Collect from the folklore nodes though. My gear does not give me enough Perception to Collect those, only to gather normal items from them.
