There is Website-Base Party Finder now. it is brillian, we need to use it more!

It is like appointment schedule where you can recruit to your World during offline. so people can check while they were working/taking a break. Knowing ahead of what party available when they get back home. They can plan their time to log in and join random Party Finder without waiting. This is very good tools in my opinion, if people use it right.

So far, it is too news, most of my friends not even know about it until I told them, some are lazy to read patch note about website etc, but I think we really should use this more, and make it more popular so that it is worth checking!!

There are a ton of tools on the Lodestone that people aren't aware of. I feel like the JP community makes better of use it, and most of the NA community doesn't even realize it exists.
Ever look at the blogs? It's like 95% JP and 5% English posters. I have never even seen a single blog post that was in DE or FR.

This is the first time I've heard of this but it does sound very cool. Its always a pain getting home and then having to check party finder to see if there is anyone else looking to do the content I want to do. Especially for things that might take longer to find a full party for. This can be really great if people use it, since it will really speed up wait times for endgame content that you need a full premade party for.

Because it's clunky/cumbersome to use. (Just like the in-game Support Desk.) It's not really intuitive, not really easy to navigate or find things on there, it has accessibility problems (website is not really the first thing to go to whether in-game or on mobile), and mostly it's barely even "advertised" that it has this-or-that feature. Plus, cue even more restrictions.

Basically using the Lodestone for diaries and scheduling is like using Fax machines today to do business. That's seriously how I feel after using it for a while. Its usability and features are just...so fax-machine.

To be fair in Japan, fax machines are still very much a thing.

If it had in-game integration I think a lot of the lodestone features would be more utilized.
Sadly, most players simply don't want that disconnect between game client and web browser.

The purpose is different.

For those in-game PF, well it is simply, you want it now, so you do it NOW. (and wait)

However, this is "schedule based", so basically, you make an appointment with anybody in your server to do the party together at specific time. You could done this and filled all 8 members even before the time you log in!!

I spend so much time per day waiting people to fill my PF in-game, and for some content, it doesn't even filled, it will save me so much time to know all those plan ahead. So I really hope people use this feature more often!

I will be honest.
FFXIV has the worst website design i ever came in contact with game wise. Everything is all over the place and everything on another website entirely. There is store site, lodeestone, mog station, SE site itself, and the forums. All do different things game wise.
As a result i dodge it as much as possible besides the forums (which i still found through google and no clue how to even get here otherwise)
