Duty Finder Issues

I've been having issues with duty finder for months. My queues are abnormally long and this isn't just a DPS queue issue. I will consistently pick the role that is "Adventurer in Need" and then proceed to wait an hr for a queue. This happens in all roulettes. And yes, that means I will queue as healer or tank and wait forever.

I don't queue normal dungeons by myself anymore since it means having to wait too long to make it worth it. I always have to ask a friend if they will go with me and make them party leader so we can get in because if I queue us it'll use my broken queueing and take an hr.

I remember one time I was trying to queue for WOD and made a complaint about my 140 min queue (I was queueing as DPS) and said "Oh we just need a dps!" So an FC mate queued up thinking to help me and he got in 3 min later while I was still sitting there no queue.

It happens all the time. Last night I tried doing guildhest roulette and it said adventurer in need healer so I was like great I can use AST. I mention after 8 min (5min avg queue) to my friend it's looking for DPS. They queue up, instant queue for them and I'm still standing there trying to get in 30 min later.

There has to be something wrong with my account as this happens no matter the class I play or the time of day I choose to play. Please can someone help me look into why I have such ridiculously long queue wait times?

I can attest to this—Sai's queue times are NOT normal. This has baffled our entire FC for a very long time. This is definitely not just a regular queue time complaint; when the rest of us are commiserating about waiting half an hour, she's been waiting four times that, and leaving queue and requeuing doesn't seem to help either—only getting somebody else to be party leader and queue for her works.

What language(s) do you have selected? (both for yourself/profile and for Duty Finder).

If you have anything except ONLY English, then tick/untick accordingly and see if that makes a difference.

I know that some people have said ticking all languages gives faster queues, but's that not necessarily true. If you have all languages and it starts matching you and the person it matches you with only has German selected then your queue becomes a German only queue (same for other languages, this is just an example). Then for the final people it won't care that you also had English/other languages selected because the other people it's already matched you with didn't have English so therefore it will wait and wait until it can fill the other slots up with people from that single language.

I have never messed with the settings at all. So it is set at whatever is the default (probably English only? I haven't ever seemed to be in a dungeon with ppl who don't speak English)

I can back Sai up on this, even when we party together and she the leader it always unnaturally long. Once we q for a 4-man with us being a healer, Dps and tank and we were waiting for like 20 min before we switch to someone else as leader to q and it was instant.

Really recommend just checking to be sure! It might not be the language option at all, but it'd be good to actually eliminate that.

If you haven't already contacted SE I'd recommend doing that that too (these forums are only for player to help other players, they don't reply to threads here). An in game GM might be worth a try, although I suspect they'll probably redirect you to phone or email support, but can't hurt to try them first!

I have submitted an in game bug report and never heard anything back. I also tried to use the contact us option on the site but they replied back saying

"We understand that you are reaching out to the GM team for assistance, but unfortunately we are unable to address your request as it falls outside the scope of our services."

Is there a specific place to go? Do you have a link? I tried from the support page. I was frustrated to the point of tears last night. I really want to be able to do content on my own without having to bug everyone I know to take me into dungeons and trials.

Neil, sir, I would like to officially nominate you for sainthood.

Somehow her DF language option got bumped to only have the J selected. She switched it to E and the curse is lifted. None of us ever thought of this because honestly who messes with the language options on the DF window? We have no idea how it got switched in the first place, but you have our eternal gratitude. I can't believe it was so simple.

So I went and looked at past screencaps and then opened my game and looked at my duty finder. You were right! As @praysolace said My "J" was highlighted not my "E" the E had an underline which made me think it was the default option but apparently somewhere along the line (I have no idea when, i've been having issues since before March or maybe since I started game!) the J got selected. Thank you so much for this suggestion.

I'll do some queues tonight to verify this was the problem but the one I just tried (guildhest as healer) was instant queue and it wasn't even player in need!
