Crafters and gatherers finally discover that FFXIV is just about farming and grinding... it was quite out of your world for now, but there it is ! Have fun ! ^-^

Thanks for your useless intervention, crafting and gathering was already that way but scrips were supposed to be the casual way.

They really love giving us the illusion of options in this game, huh? You absolutely must pick of battle, one gathering, and one crafting job you want to max out for the next few months rather than being given the choice to pick between multiple. I wish they would at least raise the weekly limit to allow us to gear 3 battle, 3 crafting, and 2 gathering classes in the same timeframe. It's very discouraging for those wanting to play with multiple classes.

Don't forget, it's ALL THAT GRUELING WORK, and what do you get to make? Stuff that is still mostly inferior to stuff you can get with tomes or out of savage. Yes, I know that in some cases the higher crafted stuff fully melded out will be close or superior, but the overall ridiculous cost to purchase that means only top tier guilds with maxed out gil will bother with them.

I feel like at the very least, crafters should be rewarded with Unique/Unsellable/Untradeable special gear/weapons/armors they can use for themselves that are equal or superior to other methods.

Crafters and gatherers really now discover what tokens are and this has nothing to do with a whatsoever casualization of the crafting / gathering system like they always did with combat classes since the beginning. Crafting and gathering is no more casual now that it was before and will never be.

Dawg we had to do 20 days worth of turn-in quests to get certain tools, or gather a stack of high quality items that spawned once per in-game day, or fish up 20 high quality fish that were just a random chance... and desynthing? Holy shit dude DESYNTHING.

We all know about doing certain things over and over. It's an mmo duder.

Are the favours more valuable to spend on than the new i180 gear?

So far, posts have mentioned mostly favours but hardly speak about the new DoL/DoH gears.
