    In 2.0, people were going for i70 crafted when there was i90 available with myths and coil. Some didn't even upgrade until 2.2.
    i180 crafted have a place.

    Except secondary stats this time around are weighted much much less this time around compared to the primary stats.

    You could also craft the new gear the day it was released. Materials weren't gated at all like they are now.
