This system sucks my balls. 18 tokens (900 scrips) for a chestpiece that isn't even BIS? That's a load of rubbish. It's bad.
I don't have anything thoughtful or insightful to say.

It's not just about the chest piece...

The crafting gear is not the problem.
The problem is the Favors are locked behind the RED Gathering Scrips.
You can get 9 Tokens per week. You can then get the Gathering gear with those tokens (remember, 7 is the cheapest piece of gear, the rest are all more than one whole week's worth of tokens). OR you can get the Favors that are used for a chance at the Ooids used to get the materials to craft the crafting gear.
In other words, if you want to gear up the Gathering classes with Token gear, you CANNOT choose to craft gear for your Crafters.
I thought SE was trying to get people to choose two or three Crafting classes to specialize in. There is no Soul of the Gatherer, so it was reasonable to think that the Gathering classes were excluded from that ...
