I dont get all the Bard hatred..

Did you guys never see a Bard perform well since HW?

Our dps is a bit lower compared to melees but it always was..
A good Bard can easy reach 1k + in Raids.
You push magic Dps with Foes and Battle Voice.
And when theres nothing to shoot at, you can get your mates some sweet Mana / TP reg.

Bards arent lack luster or anything.. I think most people just cant play them now and are pissed because of WM.
I have 0 problems in Raids with my Bard and my DPS is just fine.
People need to get real and learn to play...

I feel the same way as well but all it leads too is more harm for telling people to learn to play since Heavensward indeed brought some changes for BRD. They are improving and trying to coordinate with the players.

Then there is a difference is skill levels that people don't seem to quite understand. Someone that puts alot of time in this game has a higher possibility of progressing through content much faster and better than someone who doesn't. On the other side of the coin, there are some that don't even put as much time but are naturally great at playing the game and they grasp it quick.

There is a variety of different skill levels in this game. The hardcore raidgroups sometimes proves that Brd itself is perfectly fine for people that adapted and understood the job really well. For others that understand it but don't like the changes. Then there are the set that hates it and won't grasp it all. Or they love it and they can't grasp it.

But again, those aren't everyone and I can't categorize all the players that main or play Brd. I hope no one misunderstand this post.

As a MCH, I do feel for bards. I went in knowing what I was getting into and the class feels smoother because we're built around Gauss Barrel, with ways to counteract the cast time. WM feels like it's tacked on for Bards and it completely changes the playstyle, which I can totally understand making people upset.

I like the playstyle with WM.
Maybe iam just 1 of 10 but i no problem with it.

And trust me ive seen many Bards underperform in Alex or Primaes.
And whining over the playstyle 24/7... Square will not remove WM and thats it.

To you fluidity isn't a problem since you enjoy WM. And honestly, I'm glad you're enjoying it. For the people who don't enjoy WM, the chances of SE removing WM is very low. I feel sorry seeing alot of people quit a job they enjoyed for a long or short time and WM puts it off for them. But again, they are trying to see the feedback for Alexander Savage if it's as 'bad' as people claim it to be. Maybe they found a way to make it 'fluid' again for those that are annoyed with WM.

Brd should have been the 'fluid' mobile job but at this point it's too late to change it since there are people that have adapted to WM in their kit. But if they did Brds would have the same potency but without WM to help them boost their damage. =( This may lead to people complaining about damage instead.

A lot of Bards I know didn't switch jobs. I only witness this phenomenon in the forums. I will get flame for this, but perhaps all the complaining came from bad bards while the good ones were parsing on dummies and optimizing. Honestly, ANOTHER thread is not needed. This already passed the ridiculous point.

Whatever other people may say thats my problem with them. Has WM actually made bard so complex that 80% of the playerbase is incapable of dealing passable damage? We're not talking parsing at 80% of other DPS, more like 50-60%. With 2 Bards MNK and a BLM, I had the first boss in Alex Normal start to self-destruct at 10% HP due to enrage timer. If it's actually possible for them to deal so much damage I have yet to see it.
