Theory of why pvp will NOT be fixed~

As far as que times/ grand company stuff goes, even as things stand now..would say its here to stay. Reason: Because they work juuuuust fine...on JP datacenters. No..I have no way to prove any of this..just a theory. But a few thoughts come to mind.

When I was on Tonberry server briefly, I couldn't so much as use the bathroom during jp primetime between matches. Yeah..pops were literally that fast. I dunno..maybe JPs just enjoy pvp more than NAs/EUs in general? (Basing this off the fact that in ff11, though Ballista had all but died out on NA based servers, it was strong til the last on JP heavy ones) If this werent true...think about what would happen to pvp if all the lures/rewards were tossed out the window. How many would still pvp if no fancy glams or tomes to look forward to? The que times are the way they are for a sad reason ;/

Actually, last i checked the JP forums, there were a similar amount of posts and threads asking for the GC restriction to be removed as we have on this section of the forums

it works fine over their because there is a giant pvp community on gaia, but they still undertstand how dumb the restriction is

The reason is to make grind take longer for those who care about vanity etc. I can see no other reason. Sure it kinda creates communities, but I'd rather be able to play than wait 40-50 mins with a community.

By now I have already switched GC 4 times; there is nothing holding me in a single GC.

se are probably too proud of their stupid gc system to admit it's broken. And yh broken for us means nothing if it works fine on jp datacentre.

I think most try PVP once, decide they don't like it and don't give it another go. I wasn't fond of it at first but now I have no care for the gear it rewards. It is loads of fun, even when you are on the losing side, it's the only thing on the game you can lose at and still get a few rewards.

Well, I kinda enjoy raiding because it's at least challenging.

That said this is what keeps me coming back to PvP. Dungeons are literally boring to the point of tears.

With only one map PvP isnt much better.

If they had a variety of maps and modes then this might hold weight but atm playing the same map and mode over and over makes it little better than PvE in terms of roteness.

I don't think they'll remove the gc restrictions. I saw a theory on this somewhere though I don't remember where. Ishgard is now staged to be a 4th gc. It's possible that this will be a merc gc, where people queueing as ishgardian will fill in the ranks of whichever gc is needed to start the match. I thought this idea would be perfect and really hope this is what they do.

Also could do a new type of PvP that is fc vs fc.
