There is only a regular Main hand from Scrips (no crafted version) and only a crafted Off hand (no regular version), for gatherers.
The only other crafted items for gatherers are accessories. left hand side (belt aside) is all scrips bought.

Assuming they dont add anything in todays patch.

I've been running through the gear on http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/Miner and cant help but feel your workings are a little off as you cannot max meld every stat on every i150 piece.

Even if you're going via max melds, unless im missing something there is actually creddible support for getting full left hand side red scrips......

these are ignoring main hands, offhands and accs (which will be melded anyway.....)

Do you have a better suggestion for the melds?

the only thing thwat would sway me one way or the other atm would be the fact that each job needs its own set, which isnt so much an issiue for DOL as its only 3 sets, im just hoping crafters arnt similar

Crafters get to craft their i170 blue gear that has materia slots.
Gatherers can only get the i180 sets

how much GP do we need? for example can we reach 700 GP with/without food with GP melds on the ilvl 150 gear but not with the scrip gear?
then again im not sure how useful 700gp would be XD

what do you mean sacrifice his own equipment progress? What if I supply the mats ?

Then you are sacrificing your progress as he stated. The mats require gather and crafter scrips to obtain. To use them on gathering gear first would be sacrificing progressing your crafting gear, which would make crafting these items in HQ easier.
