Party Rushing as I Watch Cutscenes

I have a problem. I reach the last two quests in a Realm Reborn. And the main story is really nice.

I was getting really excited for the ending and then came the big dungeons. On the first, I barely got to do anything, becaue people kept rushing ahead while I watched the cutscenes. Mind you, I'm not a slowreader people just didn't wait a second.

Then came the last mission and I was watching cutscene after cutscene. I didn't fight a single boss, it was being an awful experience so I just left the game. Not really interested in doing the last mission like that.

Question is, what can I do?

The cutscenes are referring to things going on *in the dungeon*, which you don't get at the inn. It's like trying to read a novel by reading every other paragraph because later you'll be able to go back and read just the odd-numbered paragraphs you missed. Neither dungeon nor cutscenes make any sense at all that way. Later access to cutscenes is great for things like taking screenshots, but it's not going to give you the story of what's going on.

NO NO NO!!!
Unless you watch them in the game they will not appear in the Inn journal! All three of my characters missed out on personally experiencing the Castrum and Praetorium/Ultima CS because I was forced to skip them. The only things in the inn are Leader's speech outside the Castrum before you go in, and the ending CS after the Praetorium is finished, where you do the mad dash outside on the reaper.

They are in there because I have skipped them and watched them later. You need to make sure you are on the right ones and then after you watch the first click the little ">" arrow by the bar that looks like play and it will bring up the next cut scene. It took me a minute to figure it out also cuz I had the same problem.

The fact that Square put a 30 min cut scene in a dungeon on a daily roulette is insanity. They should have known better and you can't be mad at the player running the roulette to not want to watch the same 40 mins worth of cut scenes in a 20 min dungeon everyday. Luckily this doesn't happen in the Heavens ward story.

They were put in the roulette to help those that need to do them for the first time (otherwise they can't progress the story). They have even increased the rewards for doing them, and they introduced the "new player" bonus. I don't know what else do people need to stop thinking about "ME ME ME" and consider why these dungeons are there in the first place. Is it that hard to wait and let others experience the content as it was meant to be experienced?

If you do the main scenario roulette you should be aware that you can get these kind of players, and you should act accordingly or not enter at all. You can try to use as many excuses as you want, but going there knowing all that and not waiting for someone new is rude and unwelcoming, no matter how you try to explain or distort it. We all are the first ones interested in keeping all those new players playing the game, and not leaving.

There's nothing you can do. People will always rush like that, that's just how the community is, 98% of them are inconsiderate people. You can though, run them with your fc mates, who will (maybe) wait for you watching cutscenes. I was like you when I was running the last 2 dungeons, forced to skip the cutscene. You can watch the cutscene at inn afterwards but that's not even fun at all.

That is not the same thing and that's not how the game is supposed to be experienced.

It's the same as going to the movies and only reading the subtitles, because you can watch the movie in any other language later.

Unfortunately if you DF on any of the dungeons then you're gonna have people that will run ahead of you, its a fact that most people that are running those dungeons are likely trying to get through them ASAP, and its highly likely that at least one person is on the roulette wheel.
