Yes i'm ok with a nerf honestly out dpsing every job is nice, but as a lancer also, its ridiculous..

people are gonna be so confused when we have both classes and jobs and will mix them up all the time
First of all I love my Archer but really....up the nerfing SE or atleast give a boost to all the other DoW. My archer even with a nerf on multishot will still destroy my lancer.
I'd rather have them do "baby steps" with thier nerfs than bring down the hammer all at once. It was painfully obvious Arc is way ahead of everyone in terms of dmg. Hopefully with stats being fixed with the patch that will help everyone too.

The top archer damage I have seen personally was ~33 DPS w/o BR (questionable accuracy due to how log works but good enough for comparison between classes) whereas the top non-archer DD DPS were between 20-25.
With Light shot comprising the bulk of our damage, and a significant portion of our lightshot damage even in Carroway's Light Shot spam efficiency method coming from buffed multi's/trifurcates so this could actually balance us with other DD just fine (archer will likely still be top damage, and safe damage on top of that but lacks the utility being given to Lancer/Pugilist/MRD in 1.19).
As for what to use buffs on that depends if they change the way damage works overall with all this stat re-balancing they are doing, maybe multihit TP skills like Quick Knock/Barrage will be a better option for use with buffs than they are currently. Multi/Trifurcate may be relegated to the role of TP building and the bulk of our damage may be less in light shot and more evenly distributed through our abilities like other melee DD.
Not related to the 1.19 multishot changes but I'm not sure why you guys are complaining that Lancer gets out DPSed by Archer. Aside from DPS, Lancer has a number of support skills. Buffing allies and debilitating enemies. Archer only has damage skills. If you take away Archer's damage what are we supposed to do?

It'd be nice to use skills like Barrage more (although PLEASE fix Quick Nock's aggro range, I sometimes hit enemies I can't even see). I've been trying to adjust my playstyle to use Multi/Trifurcate with Light Shot to build TP, then use that TP on shots like Barrage and Foeseeker. Seems to work well enough but obviously makes progress slower than it is now. Still, I always found it stupid that Light Shot was our most damaging skill instead of something like Barrage...
In 1.18 those "support skills" didn't amount to much, hopefully in 1.19 on they will be a little more useful. However even if Archer were not DD kings they would still have the advantage of being able to do sustainable damage (no prohibitive MP cost) from a distance, and having the best native enmity reduction of any class. So they wouldn't be useless by any stretch. Not related to the 1.19 multishot changes but I'm not sure why you guys are complaining that Lancer gets out DPSed by Archer.
