In 1.18 those "support skills" didn't amount to much, hopefully in 1.19 on they will be a little more useful. However even if Archer were not DD kings they would still have the advantage of being able to do sustainable damage (no prohibitive MP cost) from a distance, and having the best native enmity reduction of any class. So they wouldn't be useless by any stretch. Not related to the 1.19 multishot changes but I'm not sure why you guys are complaining that Lancer gets out DPSed by Archer. Aside from DPS, Lancer has a number of support skills. Buffing allies and debilitating enemies. Archer only has damage skills. If you take away Archer's damage what are we supposed to do?
Pretty big nerf to ARC's DPS, as a buffed multishot was BY FAR our best spike dmg. That should be more than enough to balance out with other DDs (not saying that our dmg should all be equal, but it should bring it within a reasonable difference). As an ARC, I'm cool w/ this.. but they shouldn't continue to nerf it down into oblivion.. I'd imagine other DD classes will likely get a nice boost in DPS from w/e job it becomes associated with.. while ARC is likely to lose practically all DPS as a DD when crossing into a BRD. The ARC class shouldn't lose much DPS because I'm thinking it will need to compete against the DD 'Jobs' down the line.

I think we will be ok.
Yoshi isn't going to cripple the only DD class that has to shoot gil at the enemy for damage.
We will still be at the top of the Melee DD heap, and there is nothing wrong with having to work a little to maintain excellence.
Now we can't just show up wearing basic gear with Warped arrows and expect to smash the thing for 1500 Damage at the drop of a hat.
Good Gear, Good Food, and skillful playing in exchange for a little damage nerf is fine with me.

Sadly, buffed Multishot is still ARC's best damage option. Barrage fires 4 arrows, but even fully buffed Barrage arrows do less damage than unbuffed Multishot (definitely less per shot, probably even less total damage).
Bloodletter does pathetic initial damage now, and the fixed damage proc went from 500 to 372.
Foeseeker with nocked arrows does respectable damage (maybe a tad more than a fully landed Multishot), but you have to use up your arrows to do it, so it comes out behind, say, Multishot + Skull Sunder II (and you have 500 more TP if you do the latter).
The single biggest hit for ARC (besides the general damage reduction across the board) is the TP nerf on Multishot. Only 500 TP for a full set of arrows is crippling.

Currently my buffed barrage does more than my buffed Multishot. Foeseeker is definitely hitting harder.

YES! I thought it was just a fluke or sumthing at first, but for Bloodletter it seems much harder to get the DoT to proc. Trying to be at least somewhat viable in the Ifrit(hard) I tried to keep 100% uptime on the Bloodletter DoT while roating between buffed Barrages and the occasional nocked/buffed Foeseeker, but I literally would have to spam Bloodletter 4-6 times before it would proc most of the time, which killlllllllled my dps even more cuz Bloodletter actually hits for crap, and I'm burning thru my TP. Geezus they really burned ARC down hard.. This was no 'little nerf' as some people who obviously didn't play ARC much in this thread claimed in this thread.
I was hoping for some 'fixes' in 1.19a tnite with regards to ARC.. but looks like we got nothing..
Side note: In another thread someone mentioned that we should stack Mag. Accuracy for the Bloodletter DoT to proc, anyone know if thers truth to that?
