Why are GC leves STILL solo-only?

This was annoying on release, and it is still annoying now. Regular leves can be done in a group. Why must this game insist on forcing my husband and I to play apart at every turn? The forced solo questing and forced solo roulettes are bad enough.. >_<

My wife and I have the same complaint. Love the questing, love the fates, hate the forced solo content that makes us have to keep breaking our party up.

Because anyone who makes a forced group MMO is dead in the water why do you think they fired the old FF14 staff and has to rebuild this game from the top and bottom and removed Tanka.

Even the FF11 remake is going to be radically changed for soloing for the smart phones

I think you missed the point of the OP's complaint. It is not that there is forced group content in the game; it is that, unlike other levequests which can be done as a group IF you want to, GC leves are specifically solo content only. They even go so far as to deny you summoning your chocobo companion to help out.

Now, mind you, the levequests are not particularly different in difficulty compared to regular leves. They do not offer any special rewards except the undervalued GC seals instead of items and ventures, etc. They have even less variety and fewer "camps" to choose from too. So there are less advantages to doing these over traditional leves. Unless you want all your GC achievements that is.
