You don't have to wait for casual players. Savage drops gear for the hardcore players. You can effectively gear your main twice as fast if you are good enough to clear the content.

Next ilevel tier will not come before 3.2
So there is enough time to gear up main and alts between now and 3.2
Remove or increase the cap and you will gear the jobs out before 3.2 and have nothing else to buy with esoterics.
Buy gear for the 2-3 jobs you play the most. Buy the gears for the other jobs at 3.2.The weapon might be less, but that's not the point of this thread. Poetics, you could easily wear your one healer set on WHM and SCH, the caster set on SMN and BLM and the tank set on PLD and WAR.
These sets are all specific to one job, so no, they are really not less to obtain.
Sometime you have to do some decisions in a RPG

The 450 cap on the limited tome has been in the game quite some time now use to be 300 when 2.0 first came out I don't know why so many people complaining about it now.
Also that gear is meant to be supplement with alex savage drops, just like 2.0 gear was supplemented with coil drops so it is less then 20+ weeks to get to 210.
two reasons
1) more of the same is boring, an expansion is suppose to come with more innovation (i personally, don't care about this)
2) it's been well over a year since the tomestone gear is 100% job specific. not so bad when it was one Fending/Noct set for WAR and PLD, now it's 3 tank classes and 1 set of gear for each.

Keeping with tradition the first set they come out with is job specific so they can have the iconic look of each job. Myth gear was class specific too and had a cap of 300. I am sure the next 2 sets that come out with the next 2 raids will not be job specific.two reasons

Everyone complaining about using tomestones to gear classes...and in other threads people are complaining about crafters not being useful when they can make comparable gear that requires some melding of materia.
If SE removed all the caps...majority of the people with these complaints would finish getting gear in a couple weeks and then complain there is nothing more to do and unsub til the next patch just like we saw in great amounts between 2.55 and 3.0.
SE makes money off of subscriptions. Content takes longer to develop than it does to be played so the only way to get people to stay subscribed between updates is to slow down how fast that content can be completed.
There is nothing forcing you to gear every one of your classes in top gear 1 week after patch. There is also nothing forcing you to keep playing MMOs that revolve around this style of play.

Just wait till the next set comes up. They'll make it easier for this stage and harder for the next one. Same as last time. Same as every time. Forever.
That's the point, why do we have to wait months to be able to play with more diversity after our main already has esoteric set lol.
