What is wrong with my progress?

Just stepped into HW and started looking at leve. I am basically 4* fully melded. On my BSM I can make a mythrite nugget and I get 168 progress per careful synth. On my GSM, with basically the same stats, I only get 77 progress with careful synth on a mythrite nugget. I tested some other classes and some get the 168 and some get the 77. What am I missing here?

What levels are your BSM/GSM? You receive a big penalty if you try to craft items above your level.

Ah ha, maybe that is it. BSM is 52 (I set up my macro at 51) and GSM is 50. If it's a level thing, that is a massive penalty. I'll level GSM and see if it improves.

That was it, thanks you! Still shaking off the cobwebs after being gone a few months, I do not remember the penalty being that severe for just 1 level below. Even when I popped Ing 2 it made little difference.

It wasn't. This is exclusively a HW thing, really. Your Progress is hilariously bad if you're 50, but once you're 51, it's like you jump through all the 2, 3 and 4 star difficulties just from gaining 1 level.

Yep I just pushed everyone to 51 because my macros work again. Their approach to crafting in HW has been baffling...it's like they have no idea what direction they want to go and the gimmicks are not working. O-well, onward an upward.
