If this made so much sense then why even let the casuals have access to eso. Why didn't they just put it all in Alex savage and be done with it.
Its the same flow as always and it makes much more sense this way. As you progress through Alex Savage your are going to get Eso pieces and as you get Alex Savage pieces you are going to upgrade Eso pieces and all of which are going to go in their respective slots that are the most ideally itemized.
Punish the casuals? The casuals have access to easily obtained i200 gear, MUCH higher than necessary to do ANY of the content in the game tailored for casuals. None of the EX primals or Alex normal require anywhere close to that level of gear and yet casuals can get it without issue, and later on they can upgrade the i200 gear to be on PAR with Alex Savage gear. That isn't punishing! That is the biggest blessing you could ask for as a casual!
Because people enjoy progressing their characters, this is a rpg....
Imo it isn't a blessing at all. It's more of a tease then a blessing. It's like saying haha you can have this but since you can't do this you can't have what I have now tell me how exactly is that a blessing huh. You obviously know nothing about blessings. I imo would rather have it all thrown in Alex savage. Cause imo eso with no possible way to except through Alex savage to upgrade it which some people for one reason or another can't do makes it worthless to me.

How is it possibly a tease? You are getting i200 gear while those who are raiding are getting i210 gear. And later on you can get i210 gear without even doing the raid...that isn't a tease, that is most assuredly a blessing for casuals! You would rather the i200 gear be thrown into the raid that gives out i210 gear? Where is the logic in that? You may find Eso gear at i200 and later on i210 worthless but many people actually enjoy gearing up their characters and doing content, especially casuals who can't raid and are able to eventually get some of the best gear in the game, you know, casually.Imo it isn't a blessing at all. I enjoy the same. But with 3.1 no where in site tell me exactly what gives me a reason to even make it to that point. How is it possibly a tease? Gives you no reason to make it to that point? By the time you manage to fully deck out in i200 gear, 3.1 will in all likely-hood be going live. With the cap you aren't going to be full i200 Eso any time soon.
With 3.1 no where in site and with not much left for me to do should I just like you elitist raiders will do quit cause I don't have much more to do. Without even bothering with eso since I don't have a way besides doing Alex savage. Till 3.1. If that's what se wants guess that's what I'll do. But I seriously hope SE learns a lesson this time and never make it this way again.
I like how you keep saying no where in sight as if 3.1 were on some distant island on the other side of the ocean from you... -__-
I also find it amusing you call me an elitist raider seeing as you have no idea about my horrible lack of raid progression.
You don't need to do Savage Alex to get Eso gear, so not sure what that comment was about. Unless you meant upgrading it, in which case as I have said by the time that is even a factor for you the upgrade items will be available for your use without Alex.
I really hope you learn how easy we casuals have it as far as gearing our characters....
