Gear Exchange Program: For Older Content, please?

Just hear me out. I get that people wanting glamors, especially since it's from older glamors, are enticed to farm older content to help those who still need it thanks to the wonderful love that is RNG.

I propose an exchange or trade system though, that might help out with only older content. Ever racked up on gear that you liked maybe once or twice, or didn't like at all? But there was other pieces from other sets that you desperately wanted? But thanks to RNG you never saw them, and since there weren't any real token systems for a lot of the older content... I think this idea might help out a little!

For example: I currently am dying to finish my tanking and healing sets from SCoB. They will always be THE BEST healing and tanking sets in the game to my personally. I have in my possession the entire casting set (even though it's my main and it helped then! I don't use anymore, not even for glamors or retainers.) So I could say exchange my High Allagan body of casting for the fending one straight up through some sort of NPC.

Weapons - Weapons
Body - Body
etc etc.

Anyone think they could get behind this idea? Or am I asking for the moon? Again this would only be in effect for past content, not current. And with the token systems for the new content really wouldn't need to implement this for content further on as it becomes "obsolete".

And yes before you say "Just go farm..." I do, RNG still hates me XD or the parties fall a part by either people sneaking in that can't farm, or a few people get drops and leave. (That and everyone on Hyperion wants that tanking body!)

What you think SE? Can you give use an equipment exchange/trade program for older content equipment? I'd gladly give up my entire casting set to finish off other pieces of sets in SCoB and give up other pieces from BCoB, WoD, and etc. for things I really want! Thanks for reading all!

TL ; DR: Let us exchange older content equipment for different pieces of that same content.

There would have to be some sort of lockout on this. What would stop people from gearing up a new job, then exchanging their outdated casting gear for relevant tank gear for the next job you're taking from 50-60?

Not so sure that would be a necessity, since it's for out dated gear from irrelevant content as to date. You can get free gear on par or close to the same through quests now. Simply put this is for glamors, it could even be just for skins. But I really don't see a point in a lockout.
