Am I hearing things?

So when I'm out gathering and am at a node, when another player lands at the node from flying I'll hear this dull ring when they land. Sounds like someone is holding a bell and then hitting it once. They don't hear it but I do...

Any ideas?

I noticed the sound too. Maybe it's the sound of those main tool unfolded? The Lucis ones.

I've noticed I hear a dinging when people are using collect. Could it be that perhaps?

The sound is when you do stuff with collectibles

The sound the OP is describing is different from the collectable chime. This is more like a metallic clang or a bellish sound and so far as I've ever experienced it seems to happen before the people around me have even engaged the node (or it occurs right when they engage it). In fact, most times when I hear it they haven't even completely landed (at least on my screen) or they're in the middle of their tool-drawing animation so they couldn't possibly be performing any action on the node. I've been hearing it a lot and it's been driving me nuts trying to figure out what's causing it.

I have this sound often in dungeons, or when I beat on mobs in open world as well as when gathering . I have no dam clues of what it is or why is even there. There is no logic as to when it happens, I dont know if others do hear it too or whatever. That sound is weird and, if no particular reasons to be there, annoying to say the least.
