Fish race (this one is known as Jinyu in WoW)
They come from, you guessed it, the ocean. A very intelligent race that know magic well. The genders look the same apart from a few colour differences. These people form huge societies that work in perfect harmony, almost like ants. Some don't like the role they are given and so they become adventurers. There might be some issues with gear modeling again and I suggest the same solution as with the harpies. I would like the ability to choose scale colours and fin shape.

I like this idea! given that Heavensward is sky themed, for the next expansion they should explore the depths of the oceans. Maybe more of a cross breed "Atlantian" kind of look to fit more with gear models. Found this image in google, somethng more Hyur like though instead of lanky.

Oh gosh I love these and DEFINITELY want lanky. Would love a race that strays from the obviously human body type. Something with some more alien proportions would be awesome.

Game could use a stocky, medium sized race IMO. Like Dwarves. I dont mean actual Drawves but a race with similar proportions and height between Lala's and Midlander.

The moogles from the Ivalice world. Would be fun to have a 'warrior' tribe moogles that walk instead of fly and are slightly taller/same size as lallafells.

I'm really wanting either the Bangaa, or something similar to the Ronso. Just something different . I enjoy the current races, but I'd like to see a bit more variety. Just seems like we have a lot of humaoids with some creature features thrown pasted on haha.

I have to ask, what do those of you wanting Viera in the game see in them? Aside from the bunny ears, they're not exactly adding anything new to the table of already existing playable races.

I think the Viera Females could cover the more curvy and voluptuous race players (I included) want with bigger booty and chest, like some other people want a more muscular and buffed male races (you included), tho it would be kinda cool if vieras where an inverse contrast with females taller than males and another race for the buffed males.

Or... They just add butt sliders and solve that lack of a more "curvy and voluptuous" race "issue"? I want a tough looking demi beast race, the girls included, which doesn't exist yet in game. I'd be a little peeved if they wasted the inverse of the normal height settings on the Viera of all races, like I'd prefer they save that for a race that throws most tropes out for races, ie one that the girls look tough and more suited for battle. Viera are just "Tall demi beast race" which we already kind of have with the male Au Ra, we've already got bunny ears and a "tall race" option (Elezen or Roegadyn women) so you can basically already be one. I hope they keep to original playable race additions (Both as in original in design and more original conceptually), adding the Viera just seems boring.

Of course it would be better to add/increase sliders but SE doesn't seem to like the idea to add more character data or some sh** like that. I just was trying to justify and make the Viera more distinct than the one we think as default.

SE showed some concepts for Au Females to be more voluptuous than the norm but decided for the more delicate one.


The idea of taller females against males of their own race was to up the distinction, like Au males are way taller than females ones a tall Viera female and short Viera male could be interesting in lore as a more matriarchal hierarchy (like Mithras from FFXI) and if males where the complexion/height of say, Alphainu (sp?) that could make glad lots of people wanting to play as younger looking characters.

That said, this "race pitch" doesn't have to be bunny people per se, they can be other kind of something-people, and again, as I said there can be another race for buffed males, with eyebrows preferably.
