Today seemed a bit better. Was able to qeue up abilities properly without casts being canceled. It could be due to playing at non peak hours. I did however experience another instance where Fire 4 again did not fire off.

The flare transpose has happened to me a few times where i swear i hit flare, then transpose but the the game says nope you hit transpose then flare. Sometimes if I'm trying to convert, swiftcast, flare, transpose too quickly it will skip the flare which i can understand as me pressing buttons too quickly but I don't know how they can get it backwards. Hope it is an issue that can be addressed as it makes me feel really dumb when it happens.

Edit: After re reading your post, your issue seems a little bit different. You're saying that after casting flare, transpose (no effect), you are put in astral 3 with no mana. I did a little research and think I understand my flare + transpose issue and possibly yours. It has to do with qeueing abilities. If you cast fire, and qeue up another fire before the cast finishes, look at the battle log. It will tell you that you started casting your second fire before the first one was cast. So when you hit flare and transpose quickly after, it will regester the transpose before you are granted astral from flare. This is similar to say casting sharpcast, fire 1, fire 3. You figure the fire 3 should be an instant cast but if you are too quick on the draw it is qeued up before you are granted the fire starter proc. I can't seem to remember if flare grants you 1 astral or max astral. The only situation I can think of where you get the "no effect" message from transpose is if your astral fell off the moment before Flare goes off. You cast flare, astral falls off the moment before flare goes off putting you in neutral, transpose is qeued before you are granted astral from flare thus giving you "no effect", flare then grants you astral. I'm thinking of a possible work around. I'm not a programmer so I'm not exaclty sure how macros work exactly, I just know that they limit your ability to qeue up abilities. What if we were to macro transpose and insert some random skill in front of it. Something that couldn't possibly go off since you have no mana from flare. So say we cast flare and mash our "transpose macro" would this ensure that transpose is ALWAYS cast after we are granted astral from flare? I do suppose that would be the same thing as waiting a split second but if it works like that I'd take the delay over the potential mishap of being in astral with no mana. Can't test this out as servers are down but maybe someone who understands macros better might know.

Edit2: So researching further has taught me that ogcd macros can be queued (i hate this word I can never seem to spell it right, not gonna take the time to fix it) up so I'm guessing even if you put an unavailable gcd move ahead of it it would simply skip it and potentially queue up transpose still before flare in a mashing situation. Pretty sure if you were to macro a different ogcd skill that wasn't available like quelling strikes as you should probably have cast that before flare spamming anyway, it would still potentially queue up transpose. The only thing I can then think of is simply macroing <wait> in front of transpose and even that might not work if your mashing it and at that point I might as well just L2P and not get so impatient with hitting transpose.
