Coerthan Western Highlands Aether Current Glitch

The aether current at x23-24,y8 was found but after I examined it I got no message in the log, on screen, and it vanished. Won't pop back up, and it's been this way since Heavensward day 1. I can't finish a job quest for DRG, and had to toss several maps because of this, as well as miss achievements. What do I do?

Sorry to ask what might sound like a really stupid question, but are you absolutely sure the aether isn't actually already in the aether log and you're not mixing it up with another one? What happens if you stand at that spot and use the compass now? Does it send you somewhere else? I'd recommend trying to actually get all the other aethers and then seeing what happens.

If you've got the 5 quest ones (last is from main story dungeon) and 9 aethers and the 10th one is saying no activity/whatever I'd recommend then calling a GM in game to see what they say.

I didn't understand the part about tossing maps though. Did you mean timeworn ones that you got because you couldn't get to the location? Just save them on your retainers until you have flying unlocked as for a of a lot of the zones it's essential to even get to the places.

No, it's not in the aethercurrent log, and it's the only one I have left out of all of them period.
The maps thing is more frustrating just either having to wait to fly, or just toss them and hope to get one in a zone I can fly in.
The problem is I found the current, and went and examined it, and it vanished like I got it. But it didn't register in the log or on the map for locations found, the compass tells me it's still there, but no matter what I do, it never shows back up. Thanks for your time by the way. How does one contact a GM? So far my attempts have been met with auto-responses and being told to start over.

The compass is telling you about the one that's ABOVE you on the very tip of the really high cliff which overhangs the base of the 'icefall' where your disappearing one was. The coords for both are only 1 number off each other.
