    Appearance reset

    I would like to be able to reset my appearance (facial features) in game as I don't like the way I look at the moment. Would be cool if I could change from plainsfolk to dunesfolk aswell (maybe as a paid service).
    what do you think?

    I personally don't like this because of inconsistency. When the PS3 version of the game launches, I heard (read: heard) that they were going to allow us to change the appearance of our characters, because the rumor is that we'll be getting male miqo'te, and female highlanders/roegadyn at that launch. That one time I think is okay, but after that will be a bit overboard.

    Look at it this way, if someone is born ugly, they kind of just have to deal with it. You're going to be wearing a ton of shit anyways. A second chance fix would be nice, but I'd prefer an in game barber over a complete redesign of your face.

    Hello!
    I totally agree with this feature, these would be my reasons and ideas:

    - Hair color and hair style are the easiest things to change about your appearance, why wouldn't it be same in a virtual game?
    - Having a local barber would be an easy way to accomplish this, increasing game immersion;
    - It would be a good gil sink, the game economy sure needs it;
    - And it would make people really happy, giving them more control over their character.

    Full re-customization isn't a bad idea and i support it, although it can break character identity. Still, it is vital to feel that you have control over your avatar in a video game, especially in a MMORPG in which progress is slower and the bond stronger. One way of achieving this is to be able to change your appearance once in a while to keep players from getting bored.

    Example: After three days of fishing you might want to reflect that your character got a tan
    Your character would look even more fierce as a marauder with facial hair and scars.

    Having a limited number of do overs per year, along with a fee could be efficient ways to limit it.

    I find out that after a year of playing I want to be a different race.

    For me it's not as simple as re-rolling because I have achievements on my current character that are un-attainable now. (I'm into achv's etc)

    Because of that I would LOVE for this to happen. Heck I'd personally even pay up to $25 for it.
