Put some heavy focus on improving character looks customization! From weapon/armor skins, through much better dyeing system up to character faces details!

Simple right? Why is it so important? Because GW2. Their end game is customizing your character in every aspect cosmetics included and making it truly your avatar.

You would have a monster of an argument to get cosmetics oriented players over - no cash shop nickling & diming every time you want to change hairdo or fix your nose.
You would strike a deathblow to their cash shop model here...had you had something to strike with. Instead customization is crippled compared to what GW2 offers and one of best arugments "why FF XIV" is hiding in the closet under the sign "what sucks about FF XIV".

A-net ain't sleeping - they're tauting that they will deliver real combat end - game content in their xpansion. You better not sleep this one over for your own sake, SE.

There's no sub problem. Glamours are in a good place (Minus the 'actual' glamour system). We've got one of the best looking games, with amazing looking gears. They are constantly adding new hair models and such.

It's a good place and to be honest I don't think your 'cosmetic crew' is really a worthy thing. I can see masses coming for PVE, PVP or whittled. But 'too look totes bae'? Some, sure...but beyond what we have? Nah. (Except the adding of a glamour book!)

Obligatory: Go back to GW2. XIV is in a fine place. 'Your own sake, SE' is laughable at best. It's arguably the most prominent and leading MMORPGs currently in the market.

I actually unsubbed a few months before 3.0 because I was bored and the game just felt like a dead end to me. I came back for 3.0 hoping for something exciting and nothing. Don't get me wrong I loved the story and questing and leveling the two jobs and gathering classes I played but after its all said and done I'm back at that dead end. I'm guessing MMO's are no longer my thing, this is the same thing that happened to me with FFXI. They need much more variety and less lock outs or they will not survive.
