She's not. she was talking about Maim...and it does was nerfed...so it was no one uses it anymore. Same for murderous intent...i understand the change because now critical hits deal way more damage than pre-1.19...but still, negative adjustments do are considered nerf.
Just because Storm's Path is the current best WS ingame (it ALWAYS was the best AoE WS of the game...MRD always had the best WS set of the game...Maim as the best 2k+ TP, Skull Sunder as cheap WS and Storm's Path as AoE WS) it doesn't means Maim wasn't nerfed...or Murderous Intent.
And, anyway, MRDs need to have fun while it last...balancing never was the strongest aspect of this dev team...MRD is now as ARC was before 1.19...and look what happened to ARC. I wouldn't be surprised in it having some retard "adjustment" at 1.20 that change Storm's Path to single target WS... :/

Tanking Ifrit I can use Maim every minute(or less with Keen Flurry) and deal 650-700 damage.
The real benefit here is that I can combine that with Bloodbath so I can cure myself for over 700 and save the mages some MP. Yes, Storm's Path is awesome, but no other WS is worth putting Bloodbath on over Maim.
If anything I would say make the recast on Maim 45 seconds, the same as Bloodbath.
But with Keen Flurry it may make that much of a difference anyway.

First of all, the thread title is "Please stop nerfing Marauder", not "Please stop nerfing Maim".
Second of all, Maim does more damage than before, but is balanced with a longer cooldown. A buff and a nerf, it all evens out.

First off all...read the OP. The title is misleading, just like many other topics around here.
Second of all, no, maim didn't get a damage boost in this patch. It got an increased potency of exposed effect in exchange of it lasting 3x less than before and the recast going up in 6x. Not even close to be an even exchange.
I'm not really sure why such aggressive post of yours...i didn't even quote or at least disagree of any of your posts...and i'm just showing the points regarding why i think it's a nerf...
Indeed. I'm not really sure how well Comrade II is as cross-class since i don't have it still so i prefer to just assume you require a LNC for it to work properly. Do you have any numbers regarding comrade performance at cross-class with pikemanship? If the Comrade cross-class can offer 500-1k extra TP in less than 3 swings then it does makes maim-over-maim potentially possible
But the other situation is not really valid...by the time we started talking about multi targets, we no longer are talking about Maim as WS since using Maim over Storm's Path in a multi-target battle would be, at least, odd. ^^:

Not an even exchange? Tell that to my party's Lancers when Exposed Rear enables them to go from 700-800 to 1k~1.1k Doomspikes. Maim is a team oriented skill that still dishes out on it's own (600-800 fully buffed). Keen flurry fixes the recast time issue, and actually enables you to also break the 1k mark with a second swing. Also Maim did get an indirect damage boost since they reworked the stats and damage, the same Way Storms' Path went from a average WS to one of the best WS in the game atm.
You assume wrong. Comrade in arms, even cross classed do gives that 500-1k TP in less than 3 swings you wish for. Heck even our mages are actually using it on Ifrit to help melees and ensure it's always on. (because it's not 100% hit, even as Lancer).Indeed. With this patch, Marauder became the versatile fighter I wished for. Can tank, can DPS, can support, undisputed in AoE dammage when Ifrit's Battleaxe mowing down all in it's Path (see what I did there?) It's all about your gearset and using the armoury to it's best.

Exactly what i said. Maim now is meant to open a defenseless spot to others instead of MRD. It stopped being somthing MRD can take advantage by his own.Not an even exchange? And about Comrade, it's also what i said...i was assuming it because i didn't have Comrade II still. Good to know it works well cross-class though.

Or, you have plenty of time in 10 seconds to get heavy/broad/full swing in to 1.5k TP, buff and Storms's Path.Originally Posted by Myself

You can take advantage of it, just need to be smart.
comrade you give up 500 tp, but while the effect is on you get like 250 more tp per hit on the effected monster, if you use it when you basic attack cooldowns are up, you can keen maim use the 3 basics and remaim, if you are fighting two targets you only need 2 swings.First off all...read the OP. biggest problem is sometimes the effect doesnt proc, not sure if thats intentional, In the new system, comrade is a pretty strong tool. Though when you mass murder it is less so, but then again those cases you probably couldnt get two maims off anyway.

Aggressive? My post wasn't meant to be aggressive at all, just a simple rebuttal. Not really sure what words in there are aggressive. I didn't call you any names nor deride your opinionsFirst off all...read the OP. The title is misleading, just like many other topics around here.

Anyway...
I did read the OP. He was complaining about perceived MRD nerfs based on the patch notes. That part is pretty obvious.
And about the history of Maim:
It did get a damage boost. In 1.18a:

And now in 1.19, it got an additional boost with the defense down debuff. It also does even more damage than before due to the way stats work now. It also got a long cooldown to compensate, just like Victimize and Twisting Vice.
