    Need MRD advice

Since I started I have just done behest, quests, solo xp and gone through leves to get my MRD to lvl 30. I haven't put too much thought into it except for upgrading my gear and testing my MRD abilities.

However I have noticed that a lot of DD's are using magic, making them a lot more self reliant. I've also noticed that I can spend guild marks on traits or abilities. Lately I haven't seen any up to date guides, therefore I have to ask:

    1) Which abilities should I borrow from other classes and which level do I need to level each on of those classes?

    2) Now that Phys and point allocation is gone, which skills and traits should I buy at the marauder's guild?

Any advice or anything else you think I should know? Just tell me ;]

    Thanks

Warby's Marauder Guide. It might be a bit dated -- for example, the weapons are all pre-1.19 -- but there's a ton of good info in there, including a list of useful abilities from other classes.

As for the skills/traits from the Marauder's guild, you should buy all of them. If you're doing leves in LL, you should have more than enough marks to buy every Marauder ability available, and still have plenty left over.

Buy your extra standard attacks first.

    Thanks for the help.

So far I have bought Axemanship and the extra attacks, but I'm still wondering if I should buy the point allocation scrolls. Since now PHYS and point allocation is gone, and I don't see much reason to trade attacking skills for Piety, Mind and Intelligence.

I see the enmity scroll though, as a tank that ought to be useful.

my house is in rebuilding stage. this house is very small and in unpopular area.
the roof, floors, plumbing, and gas are all broke.
my landlord fired the original crew. for not completing the job on time
the new crew comes in and makes all kinds of promises, and shows me pics.
now for next year i have to wait for them to finish the job.
should I move to a more popular, bigger house rent it for same price?
or stay in the part of my house that is not being rebuilt. but still pay same rent as others.

Don't need the stat skills, but you should get the +STR and +VIT skills from a mage class if you can.

    Get intimidation.

Rank up gladiator to at least 36 for sentinel. Get lancer up to learn Keen Flurry. Get at least taunt and blindside from Pugilist.

I would like to suggest that you level all classes to L50 ^_^ This way you gain all the options too, now isn't that nice?

On a serious note, what abilities you'll be borrowing other classes depends totally on what you plan to do with your mrd. Sentinel and healing abilities/spells as mentioned earlier are staples on my bar regardless of role. So is invigorate from lancer. Getting Fleet of Foot (trait from lancer), prime conditioning (trait from pug), Out of sight (trait from archer) and quickstride (ability from archer) are all helpful but not totally necessary.

I haven't tried those absorb spells from thm yet, but I've heard something good about them from some people.

Like Renta said, the stat point allocation traits from mage classes are helpful for leveling melee classes, and the stat point allocation traits from mage classes are helpful for leveling melee classes. That seems to be a way to encourage people to level lots of different classes.

Stat point allocation will be coming back eventually. Possibly in the next patch. Each class will have its own stat point allocation. So you'll have one set up for Conj, and a different set of stat points for Marauder. But the traits will still be useful to min/max your character, since you won't be able to freely allocate all points for your job; you can only allocate some points, and the rest will be allocated for you. So if you want to get the most Str/Vit possible, you'll need the traits to do it.

Absorb Defense seems like it could help a little bit. Seemed to shave about 5~10 points of damage off of attacks with it active. Not so great if you're fighting one mob, but if you've got the attention of three to five mobs, it adds up just a little.

Might recommend Second Wind from Pugilist, level 6. Recover some HP with spare TP after battle or even during battle. For those more solo times, having some counter attacks of Jarring Strike and Haymaker, coupled with Featherfoot to get some extra heavy hits in there when fighting one-on-one. Once you get Storm's Path (and you already do, so this may be more useful to others than us), the counter attacks seem like they become less and less worth it, where Storm's Path and Maim become the TP consumptions of choice.

Invigorate from Lancer just before combat to get a little bit more out of your basic attacks.

Recommend a throwing weapon as well. For those times where you miss with a standard attack and just need a little extra TP to pull off another attack, Throw might tip the balance in your favor. Whether these are Bomb Arms, Levinstones, or Franciscas.
